Needs Assessment
To gain a better understanding of the present structure of the business, QCD first examines the factors associated with the project’s objectives. Two factors have been identified by QCD that require a thorough investigation: Process and Technology.
Process. The project, once implemented, will affect certain process flows within the organization. These process flows will be defined in detail and reviewed, to determine how to make the proposed project work with the existing process flow.
Technology. Data will be gathered to study the effect of technology that varies depending on the existing technical structure of the organization.
(1)The organization fully operates within an existing technical structure.
An analysis of the existing technical structure will be determined to accommodate an upgrade in both the software and hardware.
(2)The existing technical structure is not utilized completely.
The characteristics of the existing technical structure will be made to identify all available resources that will equip the organization with a technical structure that functions at its best.
(3)The organization is not yet exposed to the world of automation and computing.
The needs of the organization will be examined to ascertain that the plan will provide the appropriate requirements both in software and hardware.
Strategy Definition
Understanding the current structure of the organization enables QCD to continue in setting the plan to achieve the project’s objectives. To assure the success of the plan to be defined, QCD takes into consideration the client’s interest, the anticipation of enhancements in the technical structure, and the industry practice.
To serve the interest of the client, the plan will be built to adapt to the defined structure of the organization. This will minimize excessive modifications on the process and maximize the utilization of available resources in technology.
