• QCD announces opening Asia Pacific Hub

    Quorus Concepts and Designs (QCD) today announced the plan of opening an Asia Pacific Hub to cater to its growing number of clients outside of the country. This strategic hub will allow the company to extend its reach to provide quality services and support to its clients in Asia and the United States. QCD will be using this hub to move into higher gear the companies' plan to be the leading provider of outsourced software services within the region and beyond. The company has close to a decade of experience in providing outsourced software services to clients in the United States.   • QCD enters into a partnership with ECS

    Quorus Concepts and Designs (QCD) and Enterprise Computing Solution (ECS) today announced a new strategic partnership to deliver even greater services, support and value added to their customers. QCD will be marketing, implementing and providing first level support for ECS products. ECS product lines include ECS Legal Billing System and ECS STAR/Security Agency and Billing System. Both products are geared towards a niche market. With the former geared toward Law Firms and latter geared towards Security Agencies. "With the said partnership, we are adding more off the shelf softwares to our product line. This is in line with the company's thrust to use existing technology in order to bring the most appropriate solution to our clients in the least possible turn around time", said Mr. Duyongco, Managing Director of Quorus Concepts and Designs.

  • QCS garners two awards in e-Services Philippines 2007.

    In its first year of joining the annual event, QCD bagged two coveted awards in the Software Development Sector. The q-Mobile Server won the Most Innovative Product of the Year and the q-ERP came in as runner-up for the Most Creative Product of the Year for the Software Development Sector. The Most Innovative Product is awarded for new applications that utilize existing technology and the Most Creative Product is awarded to the software that upgrade the current functionalities of existing applications.

    The e-Services Philippines (ESP) Awards is held in conjunction with the e-Services Philippines 2007 exhibition and conference - a major global sourcing event organized by the DTI through its export promotion arm, CITEM.

    “While the ESP exhibition and conference brings together the major players in the Philippine business process outsourcing (BPO) industry, the ESP Awards complements this by recognizing Filipino IT professionals’ world-class competencies as applied to innovative IT products and services. Consistent with the overall theme of this year’s event, the ESP Awards is aimed at showcasing the Philippines’ growing capabilities for knowledge process outsourcing (KPO),” said DTI assistant secretary and CITEM executive director Felicitas Agoncillo-Reyes.

  • IT firm targets wellness centers and law firms as new markets for their products.

    Philippine IT firm Quorus Concepts and Designs is eyeing the spa & wellness industry, as well as, law firms as potential clients for their SMS applications that market products and push information to consumers.

    “The spa industry is a new niche for software firms like us as well as law firms that require legal billing systems,” according to Mr. Cedric Duyongco, Managing Director of Quorus Concepts.

    The company is behind the technology q-Mobile Server, an SMS enabling software. To date, their SMS applications are being used in the retail industry, allowing consignors to track sales and inventory on the store front without the need for sophisticated equipment.

    “With the fast movement of technological gadgets and equipment, the trend in the software sector is to maximize the gadget to an actual solution that will yield benefits to the clients. Software companies must go back to the basics of software development and understand the needs of their clients,” said Duyongco. “It is only when you understand their problems that you can maximize the use of technology in business.”

    This year, the q-Mobile Server won the Most Innovative Product Award in e-Services Philippines, an annual ICT event organized by the Department of Trade and Industry’s Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM). e-Services Philippines will gather again the ICT industry players and investors on February 11-12 next year and awards will also be given as recognition to breakthrough technologies and solutions in the Philippines.

    “The award helped us carve a niche as one of the serious players in the Philippine software sector. This translated to an increase in our clients who are confident with our software,” he added. “In fact, our company is currently expanding our overseas projects.”
